Personal:

I am striving to be the best me I can be. For now, that means I'm going to college at BYU and attempting to walk on to their cross-country team for the fall. I am expecting to serve a mission following the end of the semester. My goal in life is to teach the deppressed how to geuninely smile, the anxious how to stand confident and courageous and the heartbroken and hopeless how to regain faith. The world would be a better place if more people learned how to love.

Today was intervals. Third hard workout in a row, but considering my past two workouts it went amazing. I warmed up a mile or so and started with a 600 at 2 mile pace. I don't whether it was the fact we started with the mile guys or just I was finally recovering from that shot. Either way I went out hard and hit 400 at 71 to 72 and finished with a 1:48. And we had a serious backstretch wind the whole time. The next two where 500's. 1:28 and a 1:29. The end of the last 500 is where the pain started to set in, but its really no surprise because it was 9:20 pace. The last three were 400's. I nailed the first one in a high 1:10. So the pace was still really consistant. The last two where hard, Really hard. I had other 2 milers try to hang with me but I held on and dropped the pace a little to a high 1:08. It hurt... a lot, I still had some left though. The final 4 was fantastic. At 200 I gave up feeling and killed it. If I've ever given a workout everything it was this one. The workout killed me and then I killed it. The final 400 was a 1:07. I hit a little over 9:20 pace. After I got in another couple miles to bring it up to 10 and added a short weight session.

My seasons starting to finally look up. These intervals have gotten gradually faster. Two weeks ago it was sub 10 pace. Then it was 9:45, and now 9:20. I can't wait to see what I can do on fresh legs Saturday in the 2.

600: 1:48

2x500: 1:28, 1:29

3x400: 1:10, 1:08, 1:07
