Personal:

I am striving to be the best me I can be. For now, that means I'm going to college at BYU and attempting to walk on to their cross-country team for the fall. I am expecting to serve a mission following the end of the semester. My goal in life is to teach the deppressed how to geuninely smile, the anxious how to stand confident and courageous and the heartbroken and hopeless how to regain faith. The world would be a better place if more people learned how to love.

Well that was intense. Background to the 2 runs. 5.5 hours of sleep kinda dehydrated and fried during the day today by the sun. No nap😛

A.M. The team attempted a pace run. I was supposed to take the top group of guys out at 5:45 pace (5k pace or so for them) It really wasn't supposed to be fast, but Cole took it out at 5:30 pace and Luke kept the pace through about a mile and a bit. Coach told me I could kick it in at the mile so I went for it. Dropped a 2:20ish I think for the last half mile. 7:44 for the 1.46 course (5:18 pace). Luke was a 7:52. We had an incredible number of guys under 8:30.

P.M. Coach said I could do a 3 mile tempo on the afternoon if I was feeling up to it. I thought I was though my body had a hard time getting used to the pace. It was on the usual course and the paces for the miles were 6:17, 5:55 and hi 5:40's respectively. Didn't finish the full 3 because I was hurting too much at the end and figured a nasty kick would do more harm then good especially since it's only week 4.

Overall a solid training day. Feet just ached a little while running. No pain before or after. Dropped a 12 second 100 at the end of the cool down in the morning cuz me n Luke were screwing around.
